These rare and unique Spanish Vacation Cottage were designated by the Santa Barbara Historic Landmarks Commission in early 2014 as “Significant Historical Structures” possessing Santa Barbara's most popular architectural style, the “Spanish Colonial Revival”. Typical of this style is off white smooth clad stucco exterior, red half-barrel clay tile low-pitch gabled roof, original multi- pane wood casement windows with hand casement operators, used brick patios and walkways, original restored interior bath and kitchen ceramic tile and old school plaster walls. Compromising 1600 square feet with two bedrooms, two charming bathrooms, a large living room accented by a gas fireplace and a sofa-bed, built-in cabinets and bookcases; you will feel at home in these spacious vacation rental.
Beautiful multi-pane casement and fixed sash windows accent every room allowing for a light and airy feel. Adjoining the living room is the dining area. The large, fully equipped kitchen has many windows for enjoying the morning sunlight. Backyard landscaping consists of many established ferns, trees, exotic plants and flowers. Adjacent to the backyard is a large used brick patio with a built-in brick fireplace and gas barbeque. Cottage guests have full use of the Cabrillo Inn at the Beach's amenities including daily housekeeping, heated pool, morning continental breakfast and laundry facilities. The perfect “Home Feel” setting for either a family or business getaway at a surprisingly affordable “hotel” rate.
Vacation rental rent primarily weekly or monthly with a Saturday arrival and Saturday departure. Exceptions may apply close to the arrival date. Rates subject to change, 12% occupancy tax (30 nights or less) and $10/night TMA/Resort fee. Cottages are non-smoking and sorry no pets. Accommodates up to 5 persons including children. Holidays and Special Events periods add 20%.
Direct dial telephone with private 24-hour number with answering machine. All outgoing long distance calls must be made with a credit or calling card, or by way of collect calling. Laundry facilities are within the unit, as well as a dishwasher, microwave, color televisions with remote controls and VCR's. Maid service is also included. All guests also have access to full use of the facilities at the Cabrillo Inn at the Beach including a heated pool, two large second floor ocean view sundecks, and a continental breakfast served each morning in our ocean view lounge.
